Tuesday, July 29th - Tour of Wind Point Lighthouse @ 10:30am

Located in the Village of Wind Point in Racine County, Wisconsin, the Wind Point Lighthouse stands 108 feet tall and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The lighthouse was built in 1880 and was designed by Orlando Metcalfe Poe who had served in the Civil War as a Brigadier General. It was lit for the first time on November 15, 1880 and continues to be lit to this day.

Tour includes Video, Q&A with current lighthouse keeper who lives on site, and Tower Climb (ages 5+)

Cost: $10/adult, $5/kid (ages 5-13), Kids under 5 are free (no tower climb).

Depending on how many people we have, we will most likely have to take the tour in shifts.

We will work together to watch littles under 5 so as many moms who would like to go up the tower can go!

If you know you do not want to go up the tower, the cost for the tour minus the tower climb is $5.

Things to do on the grounds before/after tour - picnic lunch, explore the grounds, lawn games (bring your own), beach-front walk/swimming (no lifeguards)

FYI, there is also a playground down the road if you have littles and need it!
